I brought a catalytic converter today and was paid $5 for my part. The guy in the office claimed whatever it is inside the part that is valuable was all gone. The mechanic that took the part off of my car just informed me that the scrap yard lied and ripped me off! He said I should have brought the part back it was worth around $200 anywhere else. They noticed I didn't know what I was doing and took advantage of that and ripped me off.
I will not waste my time or contribute to this business again!

It's good to have a recycling center close. However, many times they will short your weight or mix something up. You also have to be in line 15 to 20 mins before closing or they wont accept you. Overall it's alright unless you haul scrap for a living you might consider checking prices.
