I sold my car to Carmax and the experience was great. I got an online offer and made an appointment to bring the car in to sell it a few days later. They gave me a fair price (the same as the online offer), processed the purchase quickly and everyone was super pleasant and helpful. I probably spent about 90 minutes at the dealership and walked out with my loan paid off and a check for the additional equity in my car.
