I drove 2 hours 1 way, 4 hr drive. Bought a brake caliper. When I arrived they informed me that they had “torched” the bolts that attach it to the rotor and didn’t have them. Knowing a thing or two about working on cars, I asked what they were talking about since heating up bolts with a torch to get them out doesn’t mean you have to throw them away. In fact GM techs use a red high temp thread locker on the brake caliper bolts that requires heat to loosen. So basically they threw out the bolts. They have a GM parts center right next to their building so I purchased the 2 bolts for $18. Gased up for $37 on the way home. Caliper was $40. When I got home I realized the caliper was seized, and also it was the caliper for the front brakes not the rear. I specifically told them I need one for the dual rear wheels on my truck. Called for a refund, sales rep told me to come bring in the part so they could have a look at it. I explained that I drove 4 hours, spent as much on gas as on the caliper. So it didn’t make sense to spend another $37 on gas to get refunded $40 to drive another 4 hours. Place is going bananas if they can’t classify their inventory as working or defective. Also why did they pull the front if it’s not the right one. If it was the right one, I could have made 1 working caliper out of the seized one and my broken one. Sales rep said “better luck next time buddy”. If I need “luck” for you to do your job then I have nothing else to say about your business. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place!

Person that took the order was helpful. But should have given a better time frame on pick up time. Part ordered around 9am. Part was ready around 330 400. Parts guy out in the barn/yard was very helpful and even put the part in the trunk of my car.

First off, the parts guys are rude. The younger guy (like a long-haired Quagmire from Family Guy) is pretty clueless. Parts in the system don’t match inventory. Place used to be good, too bad. Go 20 min up the road for better places on rt 18

Never got a bad part there, and I’m a 20+ years customer. Friendly, helpful staff. If you need to save money on your auto parts, give’em a call you’ll be surprised what they have available pre-pulled. Ask about used parts guarantee, some parts up to 6 months!
