It's interesting. And I've never been to a salvage yard before. The staff are friendly and personable and helpful. Be sure to bring tools and something to carry your parts. They do offer wagons for use in the yard. But for the most part you are on your own. Have a plan or at least remember where all the areas are and visit all of them for your parts. I went when it was somewhat cool, I can only assume that bugs, wasps, bees, varmints, and snakes may visit when it gets warmer. Be aware.

I’ve been coming to Coultas for the occasional car part for years. Recently I arrived late at 4:34pm and was informed of a new rule that is not posted on the website. That being no customers are allowed in the yard after 4:30pm. I had made an hour and a half drive and I was ok with not being allowed to pull any parts but there was ample time for me to inspect the only two vehicles in the yard to see what if any parts were left on them to warrant me making the drive again. I was told it would take me at least 15 minutes just to get to one of the vehicles. I know the layout of the yard well and I don’t walk slower than a turtle. Needless to say I find myself questioning if I will ever return to Coultas in the future after this experience.

Friendly staff. Well organized mostly dry yard on gravel. Weather was windy and it had rained earlier in the day, but we were able to walk through and find every vehicle on our list with dry feet.
