I followed an employee of there's from Auto zone because I liked his customer service! However another one of there employees totally brushed me off today. Ask if he could check the codes in my car and told me that my car was different then all the others and he could not read it so I left went to O'Reilly the checked it no problem, asked the guy if it was a different plug he said no and that it's the same as other common makes. I feel like he just didn't want to bother. I value good customer service and do not feel like I got it today!

I wish there was a zero star rating to describe my experience this morning. Yesterday I talked to Jim about some accessory brackets of a 351W and he wanted me to come look at the parts to make sure they were correct as I am looking for specific ones. He said parts were pulled first come basis, so I drove 2 hours from Waterloo to get there right when they opened. Jim was not there, so I was helped buy another parts guy. He was around 30 yrs old with a beard. He told me where the engine was that was in an E350. I went and took a look and came back and said I would like all the accessory brackets, water pump pulley, and crank pulley. This is when he started to get rude. He told me that is a lot of work and flat out said he will not pull the crank pulley as it is too much work. He then asked me if I have ever pulled one myself, which I found to be very unprofessional to test me like that. Also, a crank pulley is only held on by 4 bolts, so not a big deal at all. I then said never mind then and I will just take the power steering bracket and pump. He asked how much how much I wanted to pay and I said I have no idea, what are your prices for everything? He chuckled and then I said online it showed 50 for the pump and he said 35 for the bracket. I then asked how long it will take to pull the parts and he said, " A long time." I asked what is a long time and he said maybe this afternoon. I then said forget it and I am not giving my money to a salvage yard that does not what to pull parts. I took off work and made a 4 hour round trip for this. I was also wanting to buy an F150 seat and some Bronco from beams that I saw while I was looking at the engine. You all missed out on several hundred dollars because of one parts guy. I will also not waste my time ever going back. I was respectful the whole time and I was treated like a hassle. I do not recommend.

Typically I get decent value and I visit 2-4 times a week and today I had a small amount of scrap wire which Typically is a30% copper value and I also threw in an old extension cord to get me enough to get me some gas and maybe a burger but they hurried me through and grouped the cord in with the low value wire. Extension cord is usually 45-50% copper value. So no cheezbrg for me today. I know I'm only bitchin about 3. Or 4 dollars but that's half of my current life savings and they wouldn't give me the time of day.

Easy enough to find. Big sign and building so it would be quite hard to miss. They have a nice sized CLEAN ladies restroom. That's hard to find at any type of automotive shop nowadays. Mechanics seem very knowledgeable and friendly. Desk staff as well. Easy to talk to. Enjoyed discussing pros and cons of working for uber with Mr. Dave Jones and Bo.
They have a surplus of parts. Seems like just about anything and everything you could possibly need for a vehicle they have.
Bought a transfer case in September 2018. It came with a 2 year warranty. It broke in half November 2018. Brought it back here. They couldn't determine the cause of it breaking but they honored their warranty and will be giving me another.

The best place on earth! I dropped my truck off at noon on Thursday. They, rebuild my rear end and had it back to me 24hrs later.( 2005 Dodge Ram) I needed my truck back ASAP, they understood and worked with me. They went above and beyond what I expected, and got my truck back the next day. I'm from out of town, and they made sure I wasn't trapped in Blacksburg without a hotel for the weekend. After being given the run around for over 2 weeks on a Dodge Ram bumper, I had three they showed to me over the course. First one never got ordered, second never got shipped and the third was double the price I originally was quoted. Don’t actuall expect to get what you ask for here. They'll have an excuse for just about anything.
