For the last 4 years I have been restoring a car that was considered "Wrecked" by the insurance company. It was my wife's car.
I purchased back the car from the insurance company the day the car was taken to the salvage yard, without my wife knowing.
It has been hidden away and worked on in my spare time.
Bit by bit, I have located the parts needed from all over the world... some parts that only select collectors were willing to part with, after emailing them over and over again. These parts ranged from body panels, to suspension, and almost all interior pieces.
But trying to locate one last interior piece stalled me for the last 6 months. I couldn't surprise her without having "Her baby" 100% complete.
After a visit to A1 AUTO PARTS & WRECKING, my project was finally complete.
The part was an A/C heater vent for the dash.
Yes, one small detail like that, and all of those years of restoring her car was worth it.
