I had a very odd first experience at TRG. I'm a car guy, but this was my first experience scrapping a body and attempting to sell a catalytic converter. Scrapping the car body went relatively smooth, but I wasn't given very clear directions on where to take the converter and there wasn't nearly enough staff to help answer questions. I asked a more experienced customer if he'd sold a converter to TRG before and he told me he gets better prices elsewhere. I had a pretty good idea what my cat was worth before coming. The other customer looked up my cat's serial number while we waited for the scales and helped me get an estimate, which was about 8x what TRG offered me. I turned down TRG's offer and told the employee at the scales about the estimate and got an extremely rude response: "Good luck with that." The TRG employee then threatened to ban the other customer if he spoke with me again, blocking any further correspondence. I finally sold the catalytic converter elsewhere for 9x what TRG offered me. I emailed TRG about my experience almost 2 weeks ago, but have still not received a response.

We called and checked the prices this morning before we left the house and they were paying $7.50 on a 100. 20 cents for electric motors number one copper was 320 number two copper was $3 insulated with 75 cents aluminum cans it was 50 cents clean sheet aluminum was 50 cents they paid me $0.70 for insulated wire 45 cents for cans 45 cents for clean sheet. All total it's only $3.50 you're going to say oh that's not nothing well $3.50 everybody that comes through that gate during the day that's $1,000 extra a day or more and they're saying that my van slammed full only waiting 900 pounds and just to back seat of a Chevy Malibu weighed 120 I don't buy that so what's it standard is another scrap yard that will rip you off every chance they get so before they get you get them

I was not sure about going to a recycle yard to look for an Instapot but a friend told me to. I went to Harman's and found a practically brand new Instapot, no dents, all working parts and pieces. Paid $10 for it and I love it! While I was there, I found a few other useful items like chicken wire and s screw driver. Great place, the owner Ravi, was very generous. Nice guy. I will go again.

I called him out twice trying to pay me for dirty stainless steel when it was clean and never showed me or printed on my receipt my aluminum cans weight or price per pound??? Estimated how much scrap metal I had, never weighed it?
