1) What is your guarantee?
You can see our basic warranty here. For an additional charge, we offer up to 1 year parts and labor warranty on most engines, transmissions and other mechanical parts when installed in a certified store. To see the details, click here.
2) Why can not I buy my share online?
We strive for high quality control, and we want to sell you the right part the first time. We may need additional information about your car or the part you need so we can serve you better.
3) The part I need does not appear in your search, can you still help me?
Many parts, especially the fit and interior, simply do not have a search exchange available. Please call our toll free number, 800-362-2426, and one of our vendors will be happy to assist you.
4) I bought a part and I want to return it, can I?
All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee as described in our warranty. The charge is non-refundable. PLEASE NOTE: Electrical parts (computer brain cases, heat / AC controls, etc.) are guaranteed to be in good working order. We can not guarantee, however, that they will solve your problem. Make sure you have the accurate diagnosis. Electrical parts are not returnable or refundable.
A phone call to us before returning any part is a good business practice and is required for the return!
EXTENDED WARRANTY INFORMATION
The warranty will be paid to a Mitchell-certified store fee of $ 55.00 / hr.
DON SCHMID AUTO SALVAGE LIMITED RESPONSIBILITY WARRANTY INFORMATION
The basic warranty is 30 days from the date of purchase, not including labor, unless otherwise indicated to the original purchaser at the front of the invoice.
There are no cash refunds over $ 20.00.
There are no returns or exchanges without invoice.
There are no returns of electrical parts.
There will be a 25% restocking fee on all returned parts.
All special order parts must be paid before they are ordered and are NON RETURNABLE!
Deposits to withhold parts that are not collected within 10 business days will be forfeited unless other arrangements are made in writing.
Engines are guaranteed against excessive use of oil, shock and smoking. This excludes oil or water leaks from seals, seals or freezing plugs.
Transmissions are guaranteed to be in good working order, oil leaks from joints or gaskets are not covered.
Axle and differential assemblies are guaranteed not to have rear flanges or gears and excessive bearing noise. Brakes and seals are not covered.
We require that common sound mechanical practices such as oil change and filters, replacement of timing belts, spark plugs, seals and cleaning of refrigerators and trans- and reprogramming lines of computers as required by the manufacturer should be followed in order not to void the warranty. Improper maintenance, abuse, overheating and improper installation will also void the warranty.
